SMM June 24 News: According to unofficial market sources, the recent public inquiry and procurement of 4 mt of selenium dioxide by Jingxi Dashinan Manganese Industry Co., Ltd. in Jingxi City concluded successfully. The winning bidder was an enterprise from Hunan, with the final transaction price slightly below 90 yuan/kg. Market participants indicated that competition in the procurement market for manganese plants is currently fierce. It is rumored that the top three bidding prices were all around 90 yuan/kg, suggesting that the current willingness to sell among selenium dioxide suppliers is strong. This could also be due to manufacturers' desire to reduce inventory and liquidate assets before mid-year, preparing for the procurement of raw materials in anticipation of July's arrival.
